After having a couple of days off over Christmas it is lovely to have guests back staying with us. We very much enjoyed being back together as a family after the boys being away for so long and the chats were many and various (as were the drinks)🥤 🍷 🍸 at the Christmas dinner table.

The light in the forest this morning was just beautiful and I was out with my camera taking more photos! It is lovely to be able to combine a hobby with work. I was a bit distracted though as taking photos was not what I left the house to do with my cleaning equipment! Well, you really cannot miss that kind of light opportunity! I’ve included a couple below as well as a Christmas shot. Ross has really long arms – great for selfies!

The night is now descending and there are a couple of owls calling to each other at present. They are Tawny Owls. A male (the traditional “twit twoo” kind of sound and the female “ke-wick”). There have been 2 flocks of geese fly over today too really low making a huge rammy! They fly in such a beautiful formation. I hope the guests are not looking for peace quiet yet! I’ll need to read up on their migration and let you know as I’m sure this is not the right time. Maybe they are just looking for a New Year party!
