The 15th of July
The 15th of July.
Scottish tourism Secretary Fergus Ewing told tourism businesses to “prepare” to reopen on the 15th of July, although it will be “provisional and conditional”. This will include pubs, hotels, and restaurants.
We have a date to work toward now.
So it’s been all hands on deck today at Hedgehog. Two tonnes of hardcore was delivered last night. Jamie and I spent the morning barrowing. Dad had line marked where the path was to be, all that was left to do was put in some elbow grease and get the hardcore shifted.
Some precarious conditions needed negotiating, but we got the job done.
Stephen the Joiner was on the skilled work and was continuing the building of the base.
Once we’d finished, homemade oatcakes and coffee awaited, courtesy of Mum.
Now that we have an idea of re-opening, the Dream Team has gone up a couple of gears. To-do lists are being written, meetings had, and materials ordered.
As of Friday the 17th of July, Dreamcatcher Cabins will reopen.
As of the 9th of August, our new cabin, Hedgehog’s Hideaway will be ready for guests.
