Dreamcatcher Cabins are Hitting the Road!

This is a photo of us having lunch in our brand new (second-hand) camper van! It’s a Volkswagen T5, with 12,000 miles on the clock, and we’re very, very pleased with it!

At the moment, it’s an empty shell. We’ve bought it with the intention of fitting out the interior with everything you need to live. We’ll have two couches which will flatten into a bed when it’s time to sleep. There’ll be a kitchen with a fridge and a gas hob. And, in keeping with the Dreamcatcher theme, lots of fairy lights!

In fact, the whole van will be in the DC design. We’ll have wood paneling, tartan, and a custom paint job in our wine-red brand colour!

I lived in New Zealand for a year, and for 9 months I had a van of my own called Fungi (photo below). He was my first car, and to this day the greatest thing I’ve ever owned. The freedom you feel while on the road is unparalleled. It’s a special feeling to be cruising, with all the food, water, and shelter you could possibly need. You have access to almost everywhere there are roads, and once you’re parked, you’re all set to go. No faffing around with tent poles!

We can’t wait to see where you guys take the van once it’s ready, and we’d love any suggestions for a name!

That’s all we’ll give away for now, but keep your eyes peeled for updates, and the big reveal when it’s finished and ready to hit the road!
