Last night the rain was pouring down so heavy it was dancing on the ground. I love the cabins in weather like that – cuddled up at the stove listening to the rain on the roof with the bath running – fab.

Later on at night an absolute rammy started between Mr and Mrs Owl. Owls don’t fly in the rain as the prey will hear their wet wings so sitting in the tree they obviously had a lot to discuss! The noise was incredible – spooky too. Each one wanted the last word! Sound familiar?

I hope our guests enjoyed the chat and were not too disturbed by it. Forest life at its best.
