Ben Venue (pronounced Ven oooo) from Loch Achray
Ben Venue is a short walk and is not difficult if you have any kind of fitness at all. Once you start to come out of the trees and walk up the view is just fantastic – maybe as nice as you will see anywhere in Scotland. My friend Katie and I walked up on Hogmanay before the celebrations started. We went up and back down in just over an hour and then we popped into the Oak Tree Inn for a bowl of soup. It is just opposite the car park and is just lovely – really rustic with great food and friendly service. You can see the theme of my days out emerging I am sure – food likes to feature!
